Things to Do
Travel the world independently! We cover independent travel by independent people, and include independently visited museums and tours — not package tours. We don't believe you need a travel agent to travel the world, and some of the best experiences, and off–the–beaten–track experiences can really only be had by traveling independently. Also, you don't need to be young and hip to have a great time. Any time of your life is a great time to travel. We try to capture our travels to share with you. On our Practicalities page we cover practical issues like how to get from the airport to the city. Our Activities page has a very diverse range of activities such as museums, tours and things like that. With our Out and About section we try to cover longer excursions such as a full day out with multiple activities, ar an aspect in more depth. For instance, we do a full day out in Dubai, or an in–depth examination of the beaches of Aruba

Fun Things To Do
The Historical Aircraft Restoration Society, often referred to by its acronym, HARS, is an Australian based aircraft restoration group. The group has two museums, at Shellharbour Airport (in Albion Park) in New South Wales, Australia, and Parkes, New South Wales, Australia. We visit the Albion Park location and see a 747–400, an F–111 Ardvaark and lots of other restored military and civilian aircraft

We take an excursion on Maui from Maalaea Port to Molokai crater, then head over to Wailea-Makena (Turtletown) to see some turtles, and then back to port.

Historic Dey Mansion was one of George Washington's Headquarters during the American War of Independence, also known as the Revolutionary War.
It is situated in northern New Jersey on the border of Wayne and Totowa towns in Passaic County.

We take a day trip from Lahaina Port in Maui to the Hulopo'e Beach Park on Lana'i. We take the Expeditions ferry, visit the beach and fly our drone over the waves. One of Hawaii's best beaches.
Please note that due to the Lahaina fire, these ferries now depart from Maaleaa Port, not Lahaina

We go on a private Bodega Wine Tasting Tour in Mendoza Argentina. We visit vineyards at Keiken Bodega, and then Vistalba Bodega. We try some delicious wines, including Semillon, Malbec and others.
We used Trout and Wine Tours at short notice from our base in Mendoza. We only booked the day before on our private tour. They were very accommodating and the driver Wally and the tour guide Jimena were both excellent. The tour was taken in January 2023.

We go whalewatching in New Jersey on the Seastreak Ferries whalewatching tour.
We depart from the Highlands, New Jersey ferry port and cruise out into the Atlantic in search of whales. We come away with some excellent photos

We take a DHC Twin Otter seaplane of Trans Maldivian Airways from Malé, capital of the Maldives to the Westin Miriandhoo Resort on Ba'a Atoll.

Fantastic Dubai! The sparkling, glitzy brash, raucous, free–wheeling home of the ultra–rich and thousands of wannabees. Money talks here, but it's gotta be serious money. There's the world's tallest skyscaper, the gold souk and more mega–yachts than Monaco. As the crossroads between Asia, Africa and Europe, the mix of cultures is intoxicating! And of course, there's oil.
We spend a day seeing the sights, including going to famous landmark builds, shopping in the Gold Souk, riding camels and visiting the Mall. Watch this video for a look at some of Dubai's famous sights.

Mendoza takes it's wine very seriously! There is a wine fountain in the middle of the main pedestrian mall, vineyards and bodegas scattered all around the region, and wine conversations going on all over town. With the wine and the steak (done fuego of course), this town makes a great place for a visit during the cold northern winters.
We spend the day doing some fun things in Mendoza, checking out the plazas, riding the tram and looking around. We have a seperate video dedicated to visiting a couple of Bodegas you should also check out.

We take a 4WD road trip across the ‘Top End’ of Australia. Over 3 days we visit Fogg Dam, Mary River, South Alligator River and Cahills Crossing on the East Alligator River. We hire a boat to cruise the wetlands and see kangaroos (Agile Wallabies) and ‘salties’ and ‘freshies’ and briefly visit Oenpelli in Arnhem Land
Kakadu Road Trip
We take a day trip from Berlin to Leipzig. We take the 300km/h Deutsche Bahn ICE, have a bratwurst and some local delicacies. We also check out Leipzig Railway Station, one of the largest in Europe
